Our Language School

Our language school in San José is located only a few minutes walking distance from the picturesque centre of Santo Domingo de Heredia. The modern school building offers 15 bright and spacious classrooms on 550 square meters - enough space for a constructive atmosphere to learn Spanish in your Spanish course. During breaks students can enjoy the sunshine in the garden surrounding the language school. Santo Domingo de Heredia is situated between the capital city of San José und the University town of Heredia (each city can be reached in about 10 minutes by bus). The language school in Costa Rica has also a big hall for special activities.

The language school in San José offers you free coffee, tea and water during breaktime and after lessons, the beautiful garden invites you to stay in our language school to meet new friends, learn, read, or just relax. The minimum age for the language course is 18 years.

Our Spanish Teachers

All Spanish teachers in our language school in Jan José have an academic education and experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Continuous education in Costa Rica guarantees qualified teachers and thereby quick learning success for our students. We work with modern teaching methods and learning strategies such as multimedia tools, in order to increase our students' abilities. We focus on practical Spanish courses for everyday situations, this gives especially beginners the possibility to communicate easily with native people from Costa Rica .

Timetable

The Spanish course in San José starts every morning at 8:30am and ends at 1:00pm. Between 10:30am and 11:00am is a break, where the student can relax in the tropical garden around the language school.

Lunch break lasts from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Students who have booked full board eat lunch with their host families. In the afternoons, the intensive course takes place from 2:00pm till 4:00pm.

The cultural programme normally takes place in the evenings after the language course in the language school.

Teaching materials

The teaching materials for the Spanish language course in San José are up to date and are originally from the Instituto Cervantes ("Prisma" series). In our language courses we also use current newspaper articles and other relevant media such as websites etc. The Spanish teachers also use audiovisual materials to convey a better understanding on relevant course topics. The teaching methods are specially created for teaching Spanish to foreign learners. The course materials for the language course in San José are provided for the duration of the language course. All students receive a certificate for their attended language course at the end of the course in Costa Rica .
