The beautiful city of Santo Domingo lies exactly between San José and Heredia, both are accessible in a few minutes by public transport.

San José , the cosmopolitan capital of Costa Rica with 500.000 inhabitants, is located in the centre of the country in the heart of the Valle Central. Numerous museums, theatres, pubs and restaurants and the prospering nightlife of the "Ticos" (the nickname of the habitants in Costa Rica ) show the variety of the city.
